Alpine 24 – More Room to Escape

Warm when the southerly blows. Room to make yourself at home.

Picture a frosty morning in the high country. The fire is going, the coffee is brewing, and the mountains are waiting outside. Inside, there’s room to stretch out, relax and enjoy the warmth.

Meet the Alpine 24 – a spacious 24m² alpine cabin built for year-round comfort. With an extra 6m² over the Alpine 18, there’s more room to cook, relax and unwind, making it ideal for longer getaways, a comfortable guest retreat or a distinctive accommodation option for your bush or high-country block.

With its bold 28° gable roof, rugged Ironsand steel cladding and warm timber interior, the Alpine 24 combines alpine character with the comfort and durability of a modern home. Super-insulated walls and roof, thermally broken joinery and a carefully designed interior keep the warmth in and the elements out.

The extended living area gives you more space to enjoy your surroundings, with large sliding doors opening onto the deck and bringing the outdoors in. A practical kitchenette and private bathroom provide everything you need for a comfortable stay, while an optional separate bedroom creates a more private retreat without compromising your living space.

Add a woodburner, loft bedroom or off-grid systems, and you’ve got a warm, cosy cabin ready for extended stays in any season.

Whether tucked into a sheltered bush clearing or overlooking a rugged mountain valley, the Alpine 24 gives you the freedom to stay a little longer and enjoy the outdoors without leaving the comforts of home behind.

It depends on your council and how you'll use it. Used as a permanent or secondary dwelling, this will typically need building consent; used purely as non-habitable space, it may not. We'll help you work out exactly what your site and council require.
From deposit to delivery, most projects run several weeks — the build itself happens in our Motueka factory while your site is prepared in parallel.
We deliver to most locations across New Zealand with insured transport, and manage site access planning, placement and setup. Tell us your proposed site location when you enquire and we'll give you an estimate.

Great cabins and even better to deal with. Justin’s been in the construction industry a long time and it shows — everything is solid, well built, and finished properly. His project management is spot on too, keeps things moving and hassle-free. Highly recommend Cosy Cabins.
